To celebrate Toyota selling one million of its Prius hybrid cars, our friend Gentry has shared with us some haikus about his very own low-gas vehicle.

A Prius passes
I drink in the sweet spring air
And hear the birds sing.

Electric Prius
Like riding in a golf cart
(Without those plaid pants).

You use batteries
But don't have to plug it in –
Genius incarnate.

Fifty MPG
I drive a bit more slowly
Shoot for fifty-one.

All of your stopping
Helps you go even farther –
