Check out this video about something called Furoshiki. In Japan instead of using paper, they often wrap gifts in beautiful cloth or scarves. It's not just for gifts: they wrap objects large and small, from lunch to laundry. That means they can use fewer plastic bags too. The big bundles need bed sheets instead of scarves.
